what does this sound like? re: dh's eye

Let me preface by saying I'm trying to get him a Dr appt today. For a few weeks his eyelid looked like it had dry skin and it bothered him. Then the dry skin went under his eye and began to look puffy. This morning it was swollen closed! What does This sound like?

It sounds like he has an infection!

Once when I had my eyebrows waxed it caused a whole infection around my eyes because the skin got broken and bacteria got in. This may be what happend to your husband because of the dry skin around his eye (especially if he was putting any cream or anything on it - it traps in the bacteria).

If so he needs to be on an antibiotic.

I'm no doctor but this is my guess.

I think he was putting cream on it because he thought it was dry skin!!!!

I kept putting bacetracin on the skin around my eyes and, from what the Dr. said, it makes matter worse because the bacteria kepts trapped and it's warm and moist, etc.

Did he go to the Dr. yet?

He went yetserday - dr wasn't sure but assumed it could be an infection - gave him antibiotics and cream and told him to come back on monday -what s ucks is I just changed jobs and the benerfits don't kick in til May!! DH was under my plan for almost FOUR years!!! I'm like - you couldn't F*ck up your eye THEN????
