Menu needs to change.....PLEASE HELP!!
I am hosting Mothers Day and was had a whole menu planned for brunch starting at noon.
In-laws cant come now til 1:30-2. So i am not doing bagels, quiche, etc at 2:00 in the afternoon.
Now i have ZERO ideas and 2 days to think of something, shop, and prepare.
Im having 8 people in all (inc me and DH)
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOVE these sandwiches - always a hit whenever I make them
grilled chicken w/teriyaki glaze with fresh mozzarella, sweet roasted red pepper, and fresh basil - on garlic roasted artisan bread (you can find it in the bakery section of Pathmark, Stop & Shop, or Waldbaum's - comes as a whole loaf, but they can slice it for you)
you can use a garlic aioli spread too
i usually don't, because the sweet red peppers are nice and moist already (i use the jarred ones)

you can do the bagels still but do egg salad, tuna salad, chicken salad, and deli meat platter.

i love a green salad with a quiche, i'd do baby spinach, mushrooms, red onions, bacon and cranberries make a balsamic vinagrette.
i am doing a quiche also but much earlier,so i am doing fruit salad and muffins with it.

sliced london broil or skirt steak....
green salad
tomato and mozz
garlic bread
baked potatoes
or
filet mignons and penne ala vodka-yummo....

OMG, this is too funny. This same thing happened to me!
DH and I are scrambling...both of us worked late all week and he is working today, so we need to decide ASAP.

what did you end up doing?
b/c the same thing happened to me
1200 turned into 200
i decided to go to a really nice market and get stuffed sole, i made a goat cheese salad, fresh baked rolls and corn.
for apps i did mooz and tomato, homemade salsa and a veggie platter with blue cheese dip.
dessert was angel food cake with strawberries and coolwhip
went over really well
