Paras??

Is anyone here a para professional for the nyc board of ed?

I am wondering how to go about getting in..last I heard there was a waiting list but I figure if I put my name on it now, by the time my daughter starts school, I may be called.

Does anyone have any information at all about it? Thanks!

From what Ive seen you gotta go right to the source.
call your local schools. ask the secretaries.

my friend started as a sub-para and worked her way in to a job in no time!

so maybe you can even do that before megan starts school (subbing) just to see how you like it, and get your face seen and your foot in the door.
