How can I get my name removed from ratemyteachers.com?

I just looked up my name today, and while the majority of comments are good, I just don't feel comfortable having my name available for attack on this student run website. I wrote them an e-mail, but after reading their "legal" page, it doesn't seem like it is likely.

Anyone else hate the website and want their name removed?

It was a fad for about a month at my school, but then petered out. I checked it a while back anf there had only been one new comment in the past year. I'm not a fan of the site, but don't think anyone takes it too seriously.

as a college student I like to read the reviews for professors on ratemyprofessors.com

Sorry you aren't happy about being on the website, I am not sure what you can do about it.

One of my colleagues was able to get her name removed from ratemyprofessor.com, but it took quite a fight of back and forth emails. She argued that it was illegal for them to publish her name, and employment history without her consent, and I think threatened legal action. They eventually did take it down.
