Diabetes?
Does any one here have diabetes? It runs in my family so I have seen what it can do to you. I was wondering if anyone here on the boards has it?

Almost 23 years now... Got it when I was 13. So far, it hasn't slowed me down at all. Weight lifted throughout college. Wrestled in HS, been taking karate for 8 years. I heal faster than anyone I know. I still keep an eye on everything, and get checked out regularly, but so far, so good...

DH has type I. He is doing great with his insulin pump. A true cure would be incredible, though.

I have been type 2 for the last 20+ years. I have had major complications over the years.

My Dad also has type II.
