i finally got an interview!
sooo... now i just need to nail the interview and get the job!
any advice? im coming from NYC (four years in)

DON"T seem desperate....look confident. They need you more than they need you even if you feel that is not true...I feel that I seemed way too desperate on any LI interview

I usually say that the commute is too long. When I mention it is 4 hours a day they totally understand....obviously not enough though to give me the job

i wouldn't say commute...
i would say something along the lines of what this new district could offer you professionally... teaching a different type of child, a particular curriculum they use, etc. etc. you would need to research more about the district and your particular job requirements to answer this one... i think they want to see passion in this answer, why do you want to work for them? sure, everyone wants a shorter commute and a better salary, but you can't say that on an interview.
