Time to Fess Up....LONG

Ok since I made the mistake of actually posting a responce on this board I guess its time to fess up.

I have been lurking on the boards for about 2 months now.

DH and I have been going back and forth about TTC for a 2nd baby. Some of you may know already that my 1st pregnancy was difficult. My little Miracle was born 1lb 14 oz. I was only 25 weeks when my water broke.

We are very very lucky that James is a healthy little boy...with no medical issues do to his premature birth. (DH and I are well aware how things could have turned out...we made friends with 3 couples in the NICU who lost their babies...and my nephew also a preemie has some learning disablities due to lack of Oxygen to the Brain...we almost lost my nephew on numerous occassions...and even though he is one of the happiest 2yrs olds I have ever met...my sister and her DH have their hands full with him)

The reason I mention all this information...is that the decision to TTC has been a very difficult back and forth decision for us. At times one or both of felt like...we have James...lets not press our luck...what if things don't tunr out so good next time. Then we felt like we were depreiving James of a sibling...(which is a huge thing since DH and I are both so close to our sisters)

After talking about this for about a Year DH came to the decision about 2 months ago that we want another baby....but since there are concerns with my stress levels being as low as possible...we decided to get a few house projects finished and to give me some time to get my body a little healthier prior to pregnancy...so I've been going to the gym again, taking vitiamins, cutting out caffiene and eating better.

We will be officially TTC towards to end of the summer beginning of the Fall....this if by chance I do get PG right away James will be close to 3 yrs old...out of his crib, and learning to potty train....oh and DH will be done with the LT exam for the NYPD...so that will be one more thing out of the way.


So since I'm fessing up....Baby Dust to Everyone!!!!!!

What an inspirational story! I just want to say that your family is truly blessed and you are an amazing person for going through that experience and being ready to have another baby. I have no doubt that you will have a beautiful and healthy baby when you are ready - you are so blessed to have had everything work out so miraculously!

Good luck and welcome back to the TTC boards! I'm new here and don't know all that much but the ladies on here are so very helpful.

Welcome and good luck to you. My girlfriend went through a very samiliar thing as her daughter was born at 24 weeks 1 lb 9 oz. She is around 7 lbs now and the dr's are amazed at how well she is doing. She is a little fighter as I'm sure your son must be.
