Migraines during pregnancy?

I get bad migraines and I have a medication that works pretty well, but my doctor says that I can't take it while I'm pregnant. I was wondering if anyone gets them and if they've generally improved or worsened during pregnancy. Thanks!

Re: Migraines during pregnancy?

I've been getting them recently - my dr is telling me take Tylenol, which sometimes doesnt even take the edge off and then I end up sick.

I went to see my regular dr. who referred me to a neurologist to see what he thought. I havent gone to see him yet though...they just all keep telling me Tylenol...because its safe for the baby, but it does nothing for me.

Knock on wood the last 2 days Ive been OK.

Ive been drinking more water and that seems to help a little.

I used to get them all the time, but since I've become pregnant I've only had a migraine once or twice and I'm 8 months pregnant already. I'm hoping they stay away after the baby comes! When I did get one I took tylenol along with a caffeinated soda and that seemed to help.
