Tonsillectomy
Has anyone as an adult had this done? I am persistantly getting white patches on my tonsils (strep test come back neg) my doctor said they usually do not do this on adults because there is a high risk of bleeding even death. Im so fed up that I dont even care about the risks. If its my time, its my time.

Re: Tonsillectomy
I had it done at 19..it hurt..it suked..but I was fine..I took off a few days of work.
I had re-current tonsillitis my whole life and finally the doc said they must go.
Good thing since after biopsy, they found that I had a virus that could have put me in cardiac arrest...
Get em out, you'll be happy a week later.
I rarely get sick now.

Re: Tonsillectomy
I had mine out at the age of 29. Best decision ever!!!!!!! I stopped taking my pain meds after one day because the nausea from the pills was worse than the pain. It really wasn't too bad. I was expecting the worst.
