Is it just me or

is it that time of the year where everyone is getting sick of each other?

I teach HS Spanish and our dept seems to be at gripes with each other. There is so much trash talk that goes on, and it makes it harder to work. I wish they would put that stuff aside and just worry more about teaching and looking forward to the summer. People say oh teachers have the summer off, but we really need it!

The same thing is happening where I work. All the teachers I eat lunch with have been at each other's throats for weeks now!!!

Nope its not just you! It is happening all over the place in my school too. I am losing patience as well.

Same here. One of my friends has been giving me the cold shoulder on and off and another friend annoyed me by calling me on Friday night about school stuff that couldve waited till Monday. It seems towards the end of the year everyone wants things done for their convenience. Some people make it sounds like they have so much going on and they are all the only busy ones, but we are all bust this time of year.

No, I have total cabin fever and the kids are just done...with 7 days of school left, I'm done "teaching" we are just having fun now.

eta: as for the teachers...we all get along...we are all just "done." Its written all over everyone's face.

I think everyone is just done - the students and teachers . . . I know I am. T - 4 weeks.

I think everyone gets that way at that point because there is so much to do and evberyone is just kind of burned out at that point

Some people are getting on each other's nerves....most of us are running around trying to wrap things up that we don't have time to talk to each other (I only have five school days left )
but I can't take the kids anymore...they are so amped about summer and terrified about finals and regents....We're just reviewing now but my patience is getting very very thin!!!!

It's not you! It's everywhere. On Monday, I felt like the kids thought- ok it's june we're done now!
I had to do more discipline on Monday alone then in the entire month of may!
The teachers are no better, everyone is cranky and short tempered. Usually we all get along great but it's been a tough week! At least the end is in sight
