Pelvic Sonograms....
Have any of you ladies ever had a Transvaginal Pelvic Sonogram? I am having one done today and I am a little nervous....what can I expect? The only thing I know is that I have to have a full bladder for it.

I had an empty bladder everytime I had this sonogram done. It was really nothing at all. The worst part I would imagine for you will be having the full bladder (I hate that)!

ok cool! If a full bladder is the worst part then I'm good b/c I'm not worried about that. I'd be more horrified if a man was giving the sono!

I've had it done. It's kind of funny actually they put a condom on the want and at one point they have you hold it.
Oo....a little bit of action on hump day!

Yeah... I was laughing the whole time. Gotta love being a woman.
BTW- If you tell them you have to pee really bad they'll get you in right away. That's what I said but I wasn't kidding.

I've had them many, many times and I have never had to have a full bladder. I have also never held the wand.

they wanted a full bladder for the regular sonogram and an empty one for the trans one. they just had me start chugging water right before they called me in. and i had to hold the wand for part of it too, and there was an intern in the room. awkward...

Well, I had the reg. pelvic sono and the internal one yesterday. The actual sono was fine but man....did I have some crazy pain from laying down with a full bladder. Now I have to wait until the 17th to get the results
Thanks to everyone who put my mind at ease and gave me a heads up as to what I could expect
