Whatis the weirdest gift you ever got?


I onlce got a statue of a flapper girl. It was like an Oscar award. I was trying not to laugh and keep telling the kid how wondeful it was. I told him that Mrs. XXXXX would be sooo jealous. I theen had her come out of her room to show her and she wound up spitting the coffee out of her mouth that she had just taken a sip of.


BTW-I LOVED this kid! It was just so out of the ordinary that it was great. I truly do appreciate the gifts they give me. I may never display it in my house but i appreciate the thought!

My sister eventually took it and put it in her college apt. as a joke and conversation starter!

My strangest gift was just this year- the weird nicknack thing my 2nd grader gave me...it's like a ceramic hand making the 'ok' sign, decorated all in "flower power." So completely random...he must have just found it somewhere and picked it up just because he wanted to get me something. And that is sweet!

Two xmases ago, the same boy, who was in 1st at the time, got me a book with the words to Silent Night in it, illustrated with all these gorgeous pictures. We had sung that song in our concert. His mom saw me and she said she cried when he said he wanted to give it to me- she said up until that point, he never cared to give anyone a gift, and this is the first time he actually initiated it. The kid is a cutie but a HANDFUL.
