Restarting the 30 day shred today
I'm sad because I did REALLY well on it for the 30 days...then.....well, lets just say I stopped working out.
WHY do I do this to myself?? I don't get it. I like feeling good and exercising...but it takes one bad week (we were all sick a few weeks ago) and that was that.
I am now up 6 pounds, feel flabby, upset with myself.
I am committing myself to another 30 days with Ms. Michaels (help me now god..).
Wish me luck! I am in my brothers wedding in one month and NEED to do this!!

Re: Restarting the 30 day shred today
You've done it before and you can do it again!
Just get those positive thought flowing through your head about living a healthier lifestyle.
A wedding is great incentive but your son is a bigger incentive. Try to think about being healthier for him!! He's too cute for you not to stick to it!!

Thanks
I just hate that he is 21 months old and I am still carrying 10 extra pounds of "baby" weight. I cannot use that excuse anymore, you know??
Your DD is adorable btw...

Re: Restarting the 30 day shred today
It is not just you! I dwindled down my days and have not done it now in like a week in a hallf. I did just get the Biggest Loser Cardio Max and the jillian michaels 5 dvd pack for my bday. I did 2 of the workouts so far on the Biggest loser tape that i for some stupid reason thought would be easier. They had my sweating so bad and I honestly can barely walk today.

Re: Restarting the 30 day shred today
I find, for myself at least, it's all about moderation, and longterm goals. If I set a goal like a wedding, or a party, sure, I take off the weight, but as soon as that short-term incentive is gone, so is my motivation. I think it's really a matter of adjusting your goal to something more permanent and longterm, like healthy living, or being more energized for your DS.
That, and moderation. If I push myself too hard to do too much too soon, I lose steam after about 3-4 weeks. So, if you were doing the 30 day shred, which is an intense workout, everyday for 30 days, there's just no possible way you could maintain that kind of momentum! Maybe cut back a little, vary it a little more with other kind of workouts, and set a goal like working out at least 30 minutes, 3 days a week. Start small and build from there, until it becomes habit

And I know what you mean about those extra 10 lbs. I am carrying those as well and our children are the same age. Funny!
