Help! Post your typical meals
What do you usually eat in a day?
I have recently gained 4 pounds and have tried to do EVERYTHING to lose them. I am at my wits end. Please tell me what your typical day looks like - meals, snacks etc.
TIA

Re: Help! Post your typical meals
breakfast: (I alternate between these)
-oatmeal w/ blueberries and strawberries -3 egg whites and one slice cheese on whole wheat bagel -natural peanut butter on whole wheat with bananas -half whole wheat peanut butter sandwhich and fruit smoothie
Snack: -grapes -100 cal packs -crackers/cheese -any piece of fruit -protein bar
Lunch: -salad (I switch up what I put in them so I don't get bored) -Whole wheat wrap with hummus, cottage cheese, tomatos, spinach and onion -Whole wheat bagel w/ low-fat veggie cream cheese -any Amy's microwave product (work only has micro, no oven or toaster)
Snack: -see above
Dinner: -whole wheat pasta w/ veggies -tofu and grilled veggies -veggie burgers and veggies -quinoa w/ salad on the side -big salad -veggie based soup and sandwhich with meatless cold cuts
*I get inspiration from Skinny B-tch in the Kitch because it has some super easy recipes for breakfast, lunch and dinner but they are vegan. But you can always use them as guidelines and alter as needed. Also, I go on health mag websites like Shape and such to grab ideas (although sometimes their recipes are a little more detailed so I use on weekends when I have more time)

Re: Help! Post your typical meals
Mine varies, but I found that if I eat something high in fiber in the middle of the day, it keeps me full and away from snacking, which derails my diet.
My new go-to lunch is Amy's Organic Cheddar Cheese burrito! It's awesome. It has 300 calories, 9 grams of fat and 49 cbs, but it has something like 7 grams of fiber, which filll me up! I am full for the afternoon and I usually get through my evening workout without having to snack before and then just eat a sensible dinner.

Re: Help! Post your typical meals
Typical day for me starts with some tea and a homebaked muffin (right now, whole wheat carrot/apple/raisin muffins) - I always bake them with whole wheat and little sugar.
AM snack is usually cottage cheese, yogurt, laughing cow cheese, some kind of fruit or some kind of veggie.
Lunch is usually a salad with some type of protein, either egg, chickpeas, tuna or tofu, with lowfat balsamic dressing
PM snack is the same, usually laughing cow cheese, yogurt, cottage cheese or fruit
Dinner is usually sauteed fish (tilapia or salmon) with whole wheat couscous, brown rice, sweet potato and some kind of green veggie. We mix it up with egg dishes (shakshuka, which is an egg dish with tomato sauce, egg schnitzel, omelette), falafel with hummus and pita, veggie meatballs with spaghetti or veggie burgers.
