What exactly does "juices run clear" mean when you are cooking chicken?

What exactly does "juices run clear" mean when you are cooking chicken?
I always see this in recipes and have NO idea what it means. Normally I just cut into the chicken to see if it is pink inside.
Aren't chicken juices ALWAYS clear?

Undercooked or raw chickens have bloody juices... pinkish.

Nope, it means that there is no pink in the juice when you pierce the skin.

ahh so the test is to pierce the skin and examine the juices.

the chicken will start collecting clear juice on top
when the juice is white and thick its not cooked yet
