Resignation Letter
On the last day of school, I verbally informed both my Principal and AP that I had taken a job with another district. (I found out about my new job only one day before the end of the school year) Currently I am writing my formal resignation letter to the superintendent.
My question is - Is it necessary to personally deliver it to the letter to my superintendent or can I put it in the mail and require a signature? My main reason for doing this and not hand delivering it is because I live about an hour away from my school

Re: Resignation Letter
When I resigned from my last teaching position I did not hand deliver the letter of resignation to the superintendent. There is no reason why you would have to hand deliver it. In my opinion, mailing it would be just fine.

Re: Resignation Letter
I hand delivered mine only because I wanted to go in to say good bye. I don't see why you can't mail it though.

Re: Resignation Letter
You can mail it. Just make sure they get it 30 days before the start of school.
