how bad is it?
dh is very unsupportive when it comes to me dieting......(he is very fit, athletic weight lifter etc) he does the gym everyday
but he HATES when I diet and exercise because then I dont like to go out to eat and he LOVES this
so we made a deal that if he didnt give me a hard time about me dieting that I would go out to dinner 1 night a week and eat what I normally would
will this hurt my weight loss alot we have been bike riding an hour a day and I have been walking at least a half hour also I have lost about 10lbs so far and now after we just came home from dinner I feel guilty and wish I wouldnt have eaten what I did

Re: how bad is it?
No offense, but that seems really messed up to me. If your DH is really into fitness, you would think he'd be happy this is an interest of yours now too. Sounds like he's trying to sabotage you, although I don't know why. I can understand if he enjoys going out to eat with you, but I would never make a deal with someone that I would eat off my diet or anything like that. There's no reason why you can't go out to eat and make healthier choices.

Re: how bad is it?
I could have written this!!!
DH wears a 32 in jeans runs marathons mountain bikes eats EVERYTHING is sight.
he gets so frustrated for me to watch me count points and go to the gym, for me to be disappointed. his answer is don't bother, I love the way you look.
I feel his answer should be keep at it and eventually something will happen.
I stopped BFing 3 weeks ago. I am crazy stressed, tons of anxiety currently, and sick.
I have been sticking to my points. Tried bike riding yesterday, went 4 miles and almost fainted. I have to get myself healthy again.
So...I go to marble slab with him, I order a frozen yogurt. I cook for him, but eat mainly salad and a small portion of what he's eating.

I was going to suggest the same thing. In terms of eating half, request a take home box immediately and put half your meal in it. Then you will not be as tempted to finish it off. You can do what you would like with the take home box once you finish the meal (leave it there or bring it home)

I am glad I am not the only one
DH gets pissy if I eat a lean cuisine or if I make a salad.......he will say oh thats filling or you dont even like that why would you eat that
I dont know why he is against the weight loss........when he met me I was in a size 4 and 6 now I am a good 30-40lbs heavier

Re: how bad is it?
I think that if you do WW or just eat sensibly, then you can eat out as much as you want. That's probably where his frustration lies. He can't understand how you can not make healthy choices, but rather unhealthy ones and just "eat less." While that works, it's not always the best way to go. Everything in moderation.
Try to stick to the lean meats, ask for veggies instead of fries or potatoes. Or, get backed potatoes, butter and cream on the side. When I go out, I try to get fish because you really get more bang for your buck. I ask them to use very little oil (and most places honor that request, some don't).
You CAN go out to eat, you just have to make smart choices.
Good luck!

ITA! I am sorry he is not supportive. That has to make it that much harder. You can definitely go out to eat and make great choices and stay on program. Check out www.dwlz.com for a list of restaurants and their calories counts for different items. HTH!
