How many calories would stuffed shells be?
You know, the really good ones you would get from an Italian market? I bought them frozen.
So for one shell, what would you think? I was thinking 130 calories each shell??
What do you think??
Thanks! Lauren

Re: How many calories would stuffed shells be?
I looed it up on WW and 6 stuffed shells is 1 pt.
Does the label say what is in it? What is the brand name, maybe they have that.

There is NO possible way that 6 stuffed shells = 1 pt. You're talking pasta, ricotta, egg, parmesean cheese ........and that's without the sauce !!
Sometimes the label will give you some info - but I'm sure they used whole milk ricotta, mozerella and grated cheese in that filling .........I'd say at least 130 calories is def on target.

my typo. it said 6 = 4 pts. But, you're right it does sound like too little.

Re: How many calories would stuffed shells be?
I have always counted 2 as 6 points, as per the points I figured out for the frozen ones from BJs that are just like fresh.

I think that sounds right for the shell part only, without the other stuff. I bet 6 large shells=a cup of pasta, so 4 woudl be correct.
Stuffed shells when you make them yourself really aren't bad in points.
