Thank you for asking!
I told my supervisors that my doctor told me to cut 1-2 days off my work week. I told them I would just cut 1 day for now.
They seemed OK about it and said they would do what my doctor wants me to do. Obviously they arent going to be thrilled about it but they really were nice.
We haven't told my boss yet because they want to have some sort of plan in effect as far as covering my work while I'm out one day a week.
I'm hoping to take Wednesdays off, it would be such a nice break.
I also told them my doctor would be pulling me out of work by 34 weeks...so now they know. I told them if I was up to it maybe I would stay longer but that she wanted me out at 34 weeks.
I feel SO much better now!!!

I give you a ton of credit. I used to work in NYC and commute in from Islip- 2 hours each way. I couldn't imagine having to do it now.
I am glad you said something. I hope it all works out.

Great news!!! I stopped working in NYC when I was about 5 mos and seriously I could not imagine commuting until the end. People are so nasty, pushing and shoving. UGH!!!!!!!!!

Soooo today is the big day I'm going to tell my boss. I don't think he'll take it well but it was already OK'd by my supervisors...so...
I'll let you know. I have a project to do this morning and then I'm going to approach him.

and I have to say too, I give you a TON of credit commuting everday into the city! I could never and my DH would never let me either. You are a strong person and taking time off for yourself NOW would be wonderful for YOU! Wishing you the best!
