I registered for these, but just read they are unsafe??? Does anyone use them and what kind? I do not want to compromise the safety of the baby!! what else could I use, maybe a towel?

Re: seat protectors?

We put it on our registry too. Where did you read that it's unsafe?

Re: seat protectors?

I've heard from a few people that the seat protectors had to be removed when they had the car seats installed/inspected.

Apparently the state troopers don't like them. They think they interfere with safety.

a few reviews on amazon say the same.

Re: seat protectors?

I had to return mine, When we got our carseat checked out at SAfety town they told me it was unsafe and it hasn't been tested with the infant car seats. I had to take it out otherwise the seat would not pass the safety check...

Maybe it is for when you go to the Big car seat...

Re: seat protectors?

Anything that gets between the seat and the carseat or the carseat and the baby is considered upsafe. Since that can potentially shift, so can the carseat. Thats what I heard anyway.
