prescription return?
are you allowed to return prescription if it has not been opened?
I filled the prescription for the BC gyn gave me, but it was supposed to cover 3mths worth the way he wrote it out but my ins. only covered one, still had to pay copay. I have about 4 months of the BC already (he gave me samples) but say I dont want to be on the BC after 3months (amount of time you have to wait and see how your body adjusts to it) and want to try something else then I will have this prescription for nothing.

usually no. You can't return prescriptions. I think it's a health law or something. If they didn't fill it right right, that's another story.

do you think it will be a problem though for the future. say i switch BC will they still cover the new one if they already covered that one

nah, I think you will be fine. It just sucks that you had to spend the co-pay.

thanks. its ok its olny 15 bucks could have been worse. Godwilling things wil go smoothly and the current BC will be a keeper so then it won't go to waste. I just was worried if I do have to switch that they wouldnt cover a different BC

I asked my mail away program this question. They mail it to me in one of those plastic envelopes that you can't temper with. They won't take it back.

I did! I filled a presciption for BCP last year. I got in the car and realized that they had filled them with generic that I cannot take. I returned them and demanded the regular ones but they said they only give generic and I got my money back.
