cough with eye goo

I have no other way to explain it but a cold but in the middle of the night my eye gets all gooey. Its a cold but the whole eye thing is throwing me off. Anyone have anything similar?

My son gets that-it's a cold. But as it is viral, it spread to his eye... We took hin to the dr and they gave us drops. We thought it was pink eye but it wasn't pink!

I learned the uncomfortable way a couple of months ago that a cold can easily spread to your eyes. Yuck! I'd go to the dr. and get some drops. THey worked in a couple of days. Feel better!

Are you sure it's a cold & not allergies? When my allergies & sinus problems are really bad I get "allergic conjunctivitis" & it causes goo (more so at night)...the symptoms are very similar to those of a cold. Either way, I'd see a doc & look into some eye drops. I hope that you feel better soon!!
