Spinoff to powerbar gels
I bought some powerbars and i want to know what is the difference between a meal supplement and a nutrition one, Aren't they both the same??? My dh thinks that eating them for lunch is unhealthy and i should just eat a regular meal??? I just want to try and change things ups in my healthy way of eating.... I know this is a stupid question,But i seriously want to know what is the difference??? Thank you.

powerbars and powergels are mostly for energy when working out. i will eat a powerbar before a long run fo rthe protein and carbs while i will take a powergel DURING a long run to replenish carbs and electrolytes.
I wouldnt eat those as meal supplements thats not what they're for. Balance bars, luna bars - those are more for meal supplements.
