I feel like anything that has to go through the state could take up to 6 weeks.

at least 6 weeks if it's a new certification. if you're gettign a permanent or professional certfiicate, since you're already in the system, it's much quicker.

if you're worried about it for a job for september, you can always tell prospective employers that you have applied and met all requirements, you're just waiting for the offical certificate. if they want to hire you, they can double check with Albany themselves to ensure you do indeed have it,

I changed certifications (had a permanant cert already) and after over 8 months, my district expedited the process and it was done in days
