I hate fido fences
Please don't move to pets! LOL
Does anyone else get scared sh*tless when a dog comes charging at them, barking their heads off, teeth glistening and then they all of a sudden stop. If my heart rate wasn't up at that point, it probably reaches over 200 when this happens.
When I ran X-country in HS there was a house that had two vicious dogs that would come charging at us...I always wondered what would it take for them to charge through the shock of the fence - if they were angry enough? Now there is a house in my development that just put this in and it just throws me off my run. My heart goes in my throat, I have to slow down to make sure the dog isn't going to eat me and it takes a bit to recover.

I looooove dogs but my only fear when I run is a charging dog. I haven't had the fence situation, but I sprint when I see a dog charge a fence. Do you carry anything?

Why shouldn't this be in pets?
Anyway as a pet lover.....I don't get the fences (I wouldn't be shocking my dog) and I get scared sh!tless when a dog comes charging and there is a fence forget if there wasn't a fence. Id probably scream like a baby

b/c the post is about how the dogs scare the crap out of me while I'm running and how it affects my running.

Sorry, I have a pet fence and it keeps my pooch safe. We live on a road with moderate traffic, but she is such a dingiss that she would run out to the cars just to say hello...I think more owners need to socialize their dogs and walk them...so they will leave the innocent walers/joggers alone. I promise Sophie will never scare you if you jog past my house! She may want a kiss though!!

I totally came off bad in this thread! Sorry! I love dogs and I totally see the benefits of fido fences - just hate them when I put my runners hat on
