Judging by the locations we were within possible walking distance of each other a few times We just got back today... Looks like you had a great time.

thats too funny!! we just got back on friday- we went to the big island for 5 nights, and then kauai for 5 nights... absolute heaven!!  where did you go and how long??

Same islands, same order, roughly the same time frame.
We couldn't do the Volcano National Park with DC's... not possible but my nieces and nephew, BIL's and SIL's did. We had a two hour trip to K-Mart for milk and diapers instead.
We were just down the road from you at the Hilton (so nieces and nephew could swim with the dolphins) Waikaloha and then at the Grand Hyatt on Kauai.
Getting there and from island to island with DC's and all of their gear was hectic at first. We finally got really good at it by the last flight

wow! that is too funny! yeah- the day we went to volcanoes national park we got up at 5:30 AM to drive so that we would be able to see everything all in one day. looong day but worth it! we didn't stay to see the lava flow at night though- didn't want to do such a long drive after dark.
we actually were at the hilton one day- walked over and watched the dolpins. what an amazing hotel that is!! we were right across the street the in condos called " the shores".
we had a horrible time getting to kauai, too! we got involuntarily bumped off our interisland flight ( along with 9 other people) so we ended up having to stay in honolulu for the night  let just say GO! airlines is NOT my favorite! LOL
glad you had a great time, though!

Gorgeous pics! Looks like you had a great time. Jut in case you were wondering that last pic of the flower is a Bird Of Paradise! Gorgeous flower isn't it?
