Spirit Airlines saga
My MIL moved to Myrtle Beach in 06 and we use Spirit due to their directs flights. They are never ever on time, and their custimer service by phone is horrendous, and the online tracking of flights is NEVER EVER correct.
For example DH and BIL came down to see their mom in June. Their 6:30 pm flight took off at midnight, and the website had no info and when I tried calling the airline to get info, someone in another country kept telling me the flight took off when in reality DH was sitting in the airport.
Today, as I sit in my MIL's house due to my CANCELLED Spirit flight home, the website still says it is taking off at 2:12 pm (5 1/2 hours ago). Absolutely horrendous and getting worse. I wqas supposed to go home today at 2pm and they cant get me home until Tuesday. My car is in Laguardia parking, I have to take 2 days off from work, and my niece who is with me is missing a trip to Florida that her dad was taking her on tomorrow. Are all the airlines as horrible as this? I dont fly often. And was the weather in NY area bad today? Thats their reason for cancelling my flight.

The weather in New York wasn't horrible but bad at times. LGA had lots of cancellations. All the airlines are crappy lately. Can your Niece get to florida from where you are. Maybe her dad can change his flight to stop in Myrtle beach and then continue on to florida.
That being said Spirit sucks I flew them once and will never again.

I flew back from Ohio yesterday on Continental and sat in the airport for 5 1/2 hrs due to weather in the NY area.
They were cancelling flights as well but, were able to book people on later flights the same day or flights on Monday.

You are making me so nervous! I am flying Spirit to MB this coming weekend and am supposed to take the 2 pm flight on Sunday home and I have to get home. I already had a huge issue with them over my outgoing flight. They are a terrible airline. I really wanted to cancel altogether but they offer direct flights so I kept it. This will be my first and last time flying with them after my horrible customer service exchange with them. I hope you are able to get home on Tuesday.

That being said Spirit sucks I flew them once and will never again.
My niece was going to FL with her dad by RV, they were going to drive down from NY. Since she got stuck here in MB w/ me, they changed plans and will go next week.

Honey, good luck to ya! Spirit is horrible. Between their poor customer service and lack of website info, we have never had a smooth trip. My MIL lives here and her boyfriend commutes every few weeks and we fly down a few times a year and it is always drama. They are the most convenient for us, which sux !
