Where should we go & what should we do?

So, my dad decided he wants to do a family vacation in February. He has left it to me to decide! The problem is - we all have very different ideas of what a vacation is. I am desperate for some ideas!!

Here is the breakdown:

Dad and Stepmom = Party! Love the beach, the bars, the clubs and the good life (they would love to do a cruise)

Sis = beach

8 year old nephew = anything suitable for him is good

Bro = who knows? He is single and 29 and not very outgoing.

Me & DH = not so much the nightlife, more about day trips and adventure.

So, as I said, Dad is into the cruise idea but would consider and all-inclusive resort. That sounds good to the rest of us. Since it will be February - we are thinking Caribbean, Central or South America.

I have NO IDEAS!

Here are some to exclude:
Dominican Republic
Belize
Jamaica
Puerto Rico
St. Lucia

Everything else is game.

Crusing is always a good idea...there's something for everyone and all your meals are included...I would recommend Royal Caribbean...

If you want an island..I would go to Cozumel Mexico for a week. It's beautiful, affordable, not touristy like Cancun and there's alot to do.

We are ging on The NCL Gem in february- leaving right out of NY. We are going Presidents week- the stops are Pt Canaveral, Nassau, Grand Bahamia Island, and the private island they own. HTH

Thank you all for your ideas! This has definitely gotten the ball rolling and maybe I will stop up to the travel agent and pick up some books.

Princess, that cruise sounds amazing even though I was not feeling the cruise idea. I will look into that one though. Thanks again.

We just got back from Aruba this morning! With your descriptions of everyone-Aruba may be the perfect place. It has the beaches, pools, restaurants and night life but you can decide how much of it you want.
We took our 2 sons (6 years old and almost 2) and also went with other family members and we were all happy with what adventures/excursions/casinos/food we could do or if we didnt want to we just relaxed.
