I just looked at my registry - which I am not even close to finishing and 2 things were bought.
Mind you I only have about 20-25 things on there right now.
The only people that know are my immediate families. And I know my invitations didn't go out, cause I just gave my mom the addresses yesterday!

Whenever I know I am getting invited to a shower, I usually get a gift before the invites come out. I like having first pick at things.

I understand that - but I am not due for another 4 1/2 months and the only ones that know that I have just begun my registering are my sister in laws and my mother.

Im notorious for doing this!!! I bought my SIL's bridal shower gift before the invitations were even sent out.
Whoever did it, just wants to get a headstart before everyone else does !

my mom and sister did this when I did my bridal registry - they wanted to get a head start and be able to pick the things they really wanted to get. how exciting! better finish up!
