Ride our bikes or take our DD for a walk in her stroller.

Re: Staying Active with DH on weekends?
We walk everywhere. We live in Queens and parking is a pain so if we go out to eat in the neighborhood, we walk, we don't drive. Same with errands - I walk to do almost all of my errands.

Sometimes we play tennis, go for walks with our dog....playing wii does that count?
ETA: ooh totally forgot--we also do rock climbing (only gyms so far...not outdoors..for me at least, DH has been outdoor once). and we're trying to buy some kayaks

Re: Staying Active with DH on weekends?
We go hiking in the mountains, usually 3-4 hours. We are also trying some wall climbing and I am making him take tennis lessons with me
We also golf together, but we don't really consider it a workout!

walk everywhere and ride our bikes. we live in manhattan so it's easier for us to stay active in some ways. We don't own a car.

Re: Staying Active with DH on weekends?
We live about 300 feet away from the preserve/bike trails - so we bike, but more often we walk forever so we can bring the dog and include her too -
We also do a ton of work on the house -
I don't think golf counts -

Re: Staying Active with DH on weekends?
we have recently gotten into hiking, so that's been great for us...clean air, elevated heart rate, and gorgeous views.
If you are close to a beach though, walking in the sand can be a really good work out b/c you have to move more strenuously to get through the sand. If we lived near the water, we'd be doing this every night.

Re: Staying Active with DH on weekends?
DH is still recovering from sugrey
so he can't run with me yet
but I pretend to care about boxing and let him teach me stuff
and we also live in Queens and I will make us walk if we are going some place close- like last night we walked to the tanning salon

Re: Staying Active with DH on weekends?
RUnning/jogging in the park by our house, tennis, walking the dog
We would ride bikes if we had them, that always looks like a fun thing to do.

Re: Staying Active with DH on weekends?
DH is very lazy... and much thinner than I. - sigh - Sometimes I can get him to walk the dog with me and we just ordered bicyles which is something he likes.

Awwww...thanks so much, Anna
That was at Bushkill Falls in PA in July.
We have two hikes planned for this weekend and last weekend we went on one. DS LOVES that backpack carrier. He climbs right in!

stephanie! great pic!!!!!!!!!!!
you are sooooo thin!!!!!!!
your arms look fantastic!
and your little friend is toooooo cute
ETA: we bike a lot together or if he goes on trails where I can't take the baby on my bike, I will hike with josh and we follow him along as he bikes(he loves this...it allows me to take his picture)
he is running a marathon in Dec, he's not training, but every now and again will join me on a run.
