STILL nothing! :(

So its been 140 days since my last period

I am so annoyed with my gyn and I am in the process of finding another one for a second opinion. I was annoyed that she threw my on the pill last year in the hopes of regulating my cycle when I told her that I didnt think that it would help. I am annoyed that she basically refuses to send me for an internal sonogram and all she keeps talking about is the hsg test. She seems to think that blocked tubes are the "simple answer." When I ask her over and over if it comes back that my tubes are NOT blocked..what could be the problem then, she simply states very matter of a factedly...you need hormonal drugs in order to get pregnant.

I have heard some stories lately about people who dont get their period but do ovulate which I thought was nearly impossible. 3 of them have gotten pregnant without getting a period in nearly a year so we continue to "try" to see if maybe one of these lucky ones could be us.

As of today, I have been taking the vitex for 2 months but nothing yet. I am going to continue to take it because I know its a slow acting herb that needs time. So we will see...

Its just sooo frustrating! I have to spend so much money on pregnancy tests because I never know when and if I am ovulating since I dont get a period. I think I may start to chart soon...see if there is at least any differences in my temps. I just needed to vent since I havent done so in a while...I needed to get it out. Thanks for "listening" once again.

OMG, she let you go that long? That seems crazy! I would get her to give you provera right away to help induce your period AND I think you are RIGHT on track for finding a new doctor. Have you thought about going to a reproductive endocronlogist?

She gave me provera the last time but all it does it bring on my period once and then thats it so I guess..whats the point in a way? I am going to go to another gyno..im looking into them now and see where I need to go after that. This is sooo stressful!

That's a REALLY long time!! I would definitely go get a 2nd opinion on the whole thing.

I would be so stressed in your shoes, you may be venting, but your handling it better then I feel I would be!

I would have left to go to a new doctor by now. You are MUCH stronger to stay. I hope you do at least go for a second opinion (someone your current doctor doesn't recommend)

You should really get a new doctor!!! I take provera every two months to regulate myself.

140 days?!?! OMG!

If it consoles you any, this happened to my sister, as well. With a LOT of assistance, she finally got her pd, and a couple of months later, she got pg! GL, and def find another doc! Wouldn't hurt to get the HSG though...
