Need Assembly ideas
My class is et to put on an assembly the first Friday in October and I was wondering if any one could recommend a professional book with ideas or any other ideas....thanks a million...oh yeah it's 3rd grade

I cannot remember the name of the book for the life of me right now...but I did a play w/my 3rd grade class 2 yrs. ago.
I got the book from my local library (it had characters from a popular 3rd grade book - Herbie is ringing a bell) and it was about a spelling bee. It was short but you could always do two skits depending on how long the assembly has to be.
I'll try to look it up on amazon for you. It worked out pretty well for us.

I love the idea of an American Assembly... the kids can sing the fifty nifty and proud to be an american.

Last year my class did mini skits on Bullying...they thought of it themselves. Wrote and directed everything themselves...made me so proud!
