NYC Elementary Teachers…please help
DH is thrilled to be working in a special education inclusion-kindergarten class this year. (his first year) They want to see lesson plans, but they didn’t give him a format to follow.
He is the inclusion teacher. Does anyone have a sample lesson plan or a format that he should follow. Is there a standard lesson format for NYC teachers?? Any ideas? Suggestions? Links?? TIA!!

as per the UFT nyc administrators cannot dictate how our lesson plans are written. so any typical lesson plan format should be okay. do they want to see his plan book or formal lesson plans for a particular lesson. cuz unless i'm getting observed the only plans the principal ever sees of mine are what i write in those little boxes in my plan book.

okay good to know, they asked to see his plan book. They want it to be open on his desk when they come in so they can tell in enough detail what he's doing.
I'm a high school teacher, and before I was tenured I remember typing up formal lesson plans, so I was about to advise him to do that....thanks for responding.

my admin is the same way. i just have my LO's in my planbook. they get on my case about having a specific list of materials that i need for each lesson too. but i dont do it.

I can certainly send him my plans so he can see them. I type my plans and then put the objective into a plan book.
