i wish this board had more traffic
i love sports sooooooooo much, and i always check on this board, but its always so dead 
cant us sports fans just post more on here!

Totally agree, Deanna. This board's so dead I often forget it exists.
Then again....baseball's over for me so I won't have much to chat about until the off-season. And though I watch Steelers games with DH...I just don't have the same passion for football.
Maybe I should take up my love for the Islanders again.

i sometimes forget this board exists too, but i do come in occasionaly I guess, I havent been too into baseball this year like I was last year...prob cuz i worked at Shea, but i have gone to like 15 games this year or something like that lol

My dad worked at shea since 1985 - this was his first year NOT working.... Have you worked there every year? He worked at the press gate - security!

I only worked in 2007 in the retail dept, i had a blast but unemployment was paying me more then shea would have so i opted not to go back (i had a teaching job for 8 months after real pay I didnt want to go back to $8 an hour...not that there's anything wrong with that )

you should totally root for the islanders!! they are as local as you can get with pro sports!! i love going to games..
but i hear ya.. my passion is for baseball.

football is our passion in our house - but we also lose it over baseball & basketball too.
hockey - EH....
i think football - because the season is SOOOOOOoooo short - the games mean so much more. I mean - 16 games as opposed to baseball - 162 games...ya know?

i hear ya Jess... baseball ismy passion..but i agree..too many games.. football is ALOT less..so 1 game means a heck of a lot!

Funny thing is, they're not local for me anymore. I'm now a Jersey girl so maybe I should like DH's Devil's.
Naahhhhh....I grew up an Isles fan....it's impossible. I have fun when we go to Devils vs. Isles games. I'm proud to wear my hat. I love this old pic from Nassau Coliseum. Image Attachment(s):
