What is there to do in Long Beach, CA?
DH has a conference there and I'm deciding whether it is worth it for me to go. Is there a lot to do and see there? Nice vacation spot?

There's an aquarium and the Queen Mary and a downtown area with some nightlife... and it's close to LA and Orange County for shopping or beaches, if you felt comfortable driving there while DH was working.

San Diego isn't far away (about an hour and a half) and Anaheim and Los Angeles are very nearby (15-20 minutes away - depending on where you are).
I have family that lives in Long Beach...
