NC/SC long weekend.

DH and I live in Charlotte and want to take a few days for us before the baby comes. We are looking for I guess the end of Oct, something in either NC or SC. Keep in mind I will be about 6 1/2 months pregnant and we really are all about the "chill out" vacation. Not big on the sight seeing or hiking. Chat Icon Maybe some place with a quaint town or spa. Any help would be great.
TIA

Re: NC/SC long weekend.

I loved Charleston.

We drove to Savannah, it rained the whole time, but seemed like a nice place.

Wilmington was fun...we did a ghost walk on Cape Fear.

I love The Biltmore...especially in the fall.
Asheville has great restaurants and shops.

We went to Gaitlinburg for the weekend once, not impressed at all.

We go to Boone pretty often, Grandfather Mountain and the Linville Caverns.

I love Myrtle Beach, I have yet to go when not pregnant or nursing and still always have a good time.

Sooooooo....my money is on The Biltmore/Asheville. You can drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway as well.

Re: NC/SC long weekend.

A house or a condo on the beach anywhere along the Grand Strand in late October should be very relaxing. The weather that time of year is great, and the crowds are long gone.

Walk the beach, do some shopping, even take a day trip to Wilmington or Charleston if you want to play tourist.

I would more or less be permanently camped out on the deck or balcony Chat Icon
