i tihnk they would be very similar to teacher questions and will also be geared towards special ed. because 99% of the time, TAs work with kids with IEPs. How would you handle a difficult child? how would you modify instruction? how well do you work with others? how good are you at taking direction and constructive criticism (you'd be working under a teacher) what is your pholosphy of teaching? how would you differntiate instruction? how would you structure a small group lesson? an individual lesson?
does this help?
ETA: are you currently certified in teaching or just for a TA?

Thank you so much donegal! Your post gave me a lot of new questions to think about.
I have my Masters in Education (certified in Teaching) and I've been subbing for the past 4 years. I've done leave replacements but they didn't lead to anything because there were no spots available. I decided I would look into being a TA because I do like working with small groups of students, even 1 on 1 I enjoy.
Also, I really hope I get this position because I would be going to 1 building instead of floating around 3 school districts!

I got a TA job when I left the city the first time around. They were very similar to a teacher interview.
They may also ask you if you are trying to find a teaching job. Do you plan to be a TA or are you ultimately trying to become a teacher. To find out if this position will just be temporary for you.
Since TAs are usually used in Spec Ed settings they will ask how you would do with a hostile child. How you would help the teachers.
FM if you need any help. I was a TA not too long ago.

I did some interviews with my principal last week for a TA position. One question was about how you effectively work in a classroom with other adults and/or teachers and another big one was about confidentiality.
