Has this happened to you or is it just me?
ok maybe im a little weird but...
On a constant basis when I order fast food like today for dinner when i dont want any sauce with my meal i get that weird look from the person taking my order.
example, 2 chicken taquitos from taco bell...no i dont want the damn sour cream guacamole or salsa, the chick was like but it comes with it, NO!
this also happens when I order chicken nuggets, I dont need no bbq sauce or honey mustard ick!
i like my food plain and simple, no fillers, and no sauce
Does anybody else get that weird look?

Well I basically never have fast food....but I also like my chicken nuggets with ketchup only. I get looks a lot whenever I order chicken fingers or something without the honey mustard and such.....so I know what you mean!!!
I have also gotten the look when asking for certain things without Mayo in restaurants....

Yep I always get looks no matter what! I do not like mayo, etc. They should be happy that we are asking for less effort on their part!

People really can't understand the mayo thing! There are so many delis that don't listen to the hold the mayo - I think it's such a force of habit.

i don't really eat fast food but i do get that look a lot when at restaurants -- they offer me ketchup and i don't eat ketchup - at all. i never eat it with anything - never have, never will. i get weird looks when offered ketchup or when i say i don't eat it from servers, other patrons, people in my family lol -- everyone! luckily, i found vinny who also NEVER eats ketchup... it was meant to be.

It's funny you say that, about servers giving you weird looks because you DON'T want something (why they think it's weird that you don't like ketchup I have no idea, it's not)....only because I used to give the same looks when I waitressed but it was because some people ask for the strangest condiments/sides with their foods, so just the opposite. One time someone asked me for honey with his baked potato.... Many times I was asked for mayo with fries...that was when they got a weird look from me. Or my favorite, a straw for their wine glass or grenadine syrup for their beer.

Ahh working in food service you do get those odd request people. but as my request is simply not suace in the contaier/package type deal i never understand why i get the wierd look.

sometimes i drink my wine with a straw.. 
but thats only when i actually remember to use my crest white strips everyday. wine stains teeth!!!  (coffee too)

yes, you see some interesting things as a waitress - i have too.
well, the weirdest part about the ketchup is they'll ask my hubby and i "do you want me to get you a ketchup??" and we'll say - "actually, you don't have to - we don't eat that". I mean, we are making LESS work for them and they are like "why?!!" people have ASKED me why!!! and i'm like 'i don't like it" and they just can't get over it hahaha.

I don't eat sauce with anything. I get my chicken nuggets plain as well as my fries and many other things.
I also would rather my salad WITHOUT dressing.
DH thinks I'm wierd. He smothers everything in sauce.

I get this a lot at Subway. The person making my sandwich is suprised I don't want any dressing. I'm not a big condiments on sandwiches person.
