Hi There -

Looking for a Sr. Accountant to work in the Melville office of a Top-Tier Financial Company.

Looking for 2+ years experience; Salary around $65K - this is a Temp to Perm position.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise the reconciliation of selected general ledger accounts, the analysis of key general ledger account activity, preparation and submission of journal entries, the monthly close and special projects as assigned.

SKILLS REQUIRED & PREFERRED

• Keen attention to financial detail. Thorough understanding of the general ledger chart of accounts.
• Financial account reconciliation and basic knowledge of mortgage industry.
• Strong financial systems experience: expert level skills in MS-Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of best in breed financial accounting systems, including Peachtree, MAS, Great Plains, Oracle, etc…
• Ability to work collaboratively under stringent time constraints
• Demonstrate high level of professional ethics
• Exceptional organizational skills

2-4 Years of experience in the accounting and finance field within the financial services industry.

BA Degree in Accounting or Finance required
