Does anyone work at CA?

If so, can you tell me how there are to work for as a company, and how their benefits package is? Someone I know is considering getting a job there. TIA!

I don't work there myself but I do know someone who does.

From what I hear it's a good place, with good benefits. (On site services, childcare, gym, stock program, 401K match, etc)

It's gotten a bad wrap in the past.. but it sounds like they're working to change it. I do think they expect you to work, though. It's not a fluff job where you work for 5 hours a day, lunch for an hour, and stand around the water cooler or surf the net for the rest of the day.

That was one of my first job offers out of school!

The benefits package was ridiculously good - but the way they posed the job was kind of like they were hiring a bunch of new grads, throwing us into a big job pool with almost menial kinds of tasks and then waiting to see the cream that rose to the top. It seemed strange to me and the job security kind of seemed to hinge on how you set yourself apart. I could have TOTALLY misinterpreted it - and this was over 10 years ago.. but it didn't sit well with me so I passed.

I do know someone that did work there briefly. She enjoyed it because there were a lot of young graduates and a very collegial feel. But the turnover at the time was high and she left the minute she got a better offer.

Again - my information is older. And I have heard wonderful things about how they are from a human resources perspective. I wish I could be more helpful!

They are known for having GREAT benefits but a slave driver mentality.

That may have changed in the past few years.

The person who is considering a job offer has been out of college for about 7 years now, but has worked w/ the group that they're interviewing for a position w/in already in the past a few times recently, but as a freelancer for a different company. I'll pass the information on to them.

Until the laid me off 9 days before my wedding anywho...I still know people that work there if you need some info

A few years ago a bunch of our friends worked there. They had good benefits--tuition reimbursement, etc., and it seemed like a really good group of young professionals. They then let go of entire departments, and laid off all of our friends (most of whom work for Henry Schein now). They also said they didn't pay well.
