We went for our honeymoon and stayed @ the Royal Plantation in Ochos Rios- we thought it was 5***** all the way- amazing!
We also stayed @ Couples Swept Away Negril- the beach was so beautiful the resort was nice but the Royal Plantation was a lot more pampering and luxurious.
It was one of our BEST vacations ever.

we stayed at Grand Lido San Souci I think it is called Couples San Souci now... it is in Ocho Rios... we had an amazing time... the staff at the hotel was wonderful, great food, awesome place to relax.. def. check out Dunn's River Falls if you are in Ocho Rios...

We're interested in just sitting on a beach for a few days and doing absolutely nothing. 
Hotels aside, is one area more appealing than the other? Like, Negril or Ocho Rios?

I think Negril had a bit more to do outside of your resort, but climbing the waterfall in Ochos Rios is pretty nice too.

We stayed in Montego Bay at the Wyndham Rose Hall resort and LOVED it!

We have been there twice and both times we stayed at Sunset Beach Resot and Spa. We loved it... I am planning on going back next year ...

stayed at the Renaissance in Ocho Rios all inclusive, we loved it. the ride from the airport was longgggggggg, and they drive like maniacs. It was really nice, was thinking of going there to montego bay or costa rica for our 1 yr anniversary but if anyone read my post about my SIL choosing our anniversary weekend for her sons communion you'd know our choices were made for us pretty much where we would be staying for our anniversay- some where in florida cause boy did she lay on the guilt trip thick and DH is a sucker!!
Jamaica is nice, just be careful not to leave your resort, very poor country. I believe its one of the worst ones in the caribean as far as watching out for yourself but wow the flowers, the water the snorkeling, one of my favorites!!
