Should I go to the ER?
OK... I know I have postponned going to the dentist for a while.
The day before I found out I was PG, I had a horrible toothache and went to the dentist. They found a cavity in the tooth next to my top wisdow tooth.
Anyway, I was PG, they gave me antibiotics and told me to hang on as long as possible if I could postpone removing the wisdom tooth and take care of the cavity.
Well DS is almost 15 months and it was on my to do list.
On Tuesday, I woke up on the middle of the night with a horrible toothache. It's been horrible since. I live on Motrin.
The earliest appt I could get is next Monday.
I just don't know if I can wait. Tonight the side of my face with the bad tooth is warm. The other side is not.
Can I really wait?
Should I get to the ER?
I don't want an absess.

i would try a walk-in clinic before the ER, they can see if you have an infection and get you started on antibiotics.

I would definitely try to get antibiotics...are the walk in clinics still open near you? If not, yes, go to the er  feel better

I honestly don't know if I'd go to the ER for that.....You can probably find a dentist open first thing in the morning.
There is an emergency dentist in Levittown. But they don't take insurance. It is cash only.

It's late, not sure if you've done anything, but I wouldn't waste my time in the ER. I'd wait to the morning and ask for an emergency visit ASAP. If you can't wait, I believe there is a 24-hour dental clinic on the Garden City/New Hyde Park area, let me see if I can find any info for you.

I always went to the ER but did not.
I was able to go to a walk-in clinic this morning right before going to work.
It was not a dental place but the Dr said it is all swollen and gave me antibiotics which is all I care about.
I have the dentist appt on Monday as previously scheduled.
