Having a hard time finding a hotel
DH and I want to go up to Boston for Columbus Day weekend to visit his sister and her boyfriend. We can't stay with them because they have a cat and I am DEATHLY allergic. We also have to take Lilly up with us (she's all of 11 pounds). We cannot - for the life of us - find a hotel for less than $299 per night that will allow a small dog. Call me crazy, but I'm not spending over $600 on 2 nights in Boston - where we'll only be in our room to sleep, essentially.

What about the outskirts of the city and take the train into Boston to visit.

Try Hotel Marlowe. All Kimpton hotels are pet-friendly (which means they allow cats, too, of course) and really cute. They are expensive, but I've gotten AMAZING deals through Orbitz.
