Absolutely disgusting. They CANNOT call that an oversight. What a bunch of $%^#&@(@!!!!! There's one thing about leaving off Clemens...but Torre is in a class all by himself. That organization owes him a TON.
And ya know what? I hope Torre is secretly laughing his arse off at our collapse....go Dodgers!

You know what Tara, my DH & I agree. It was VERY wrong of them to leave him out. He was the one who got them to the WS all those years!!! What a slap in the face if the Dodgers win the WS! We are rooting for the Dodgers now  . I really hope they win.
He should have been mentioned, even if it was just in the video. I'm sure he's pisssed!

Ya know what though...DH made a point. Did they really mention ALL the managers? Like Ralph Houk, Buck Showalter....
thing is guys- when they showed the managers on the video screen I couldn't see it so I'm not even sure!
But still....you DON'T leave off the manager that took you to 12 playoff runs.
If they made the right decision and put Torre on the screen, I could only IMAGINE the ovation that would have ensued.
**Edited- for some reason today it hit me - there's a mistake. Torre only took us to 12 playoff runs...I forgot it was Showalter who took us in 95! The first Wild Card team, and the only playoff Mattingly appeared in.

No they dont have to mention every single one, but Torre was the most important!! I guess the one who manages the team to October 13 times, doesnt count
And no he was not on the screen

That's very disrespectful! I'm not a Yankee fan but come on that man has taken that team to 13 playoffs and a couple of WS wins. What is wrong with them? I know they can't mention every manager but Joe Torre should have been the exception. If the Mets don't make it to the playoffs then i'm rooting for the dodgers too.

I agree Tara. I will be rooting for the Dodgers in the playoffs. That would be AWESOME for Torre.
