Montreal in October
I was looking to take DH away somewhere the other day and I found a really good deal on a hotel in downtown Montreal. The only weekend we could really go is October 10-12th, so i booked it.
In my haste I didn't realize that that falls on Canada's Thanksgiving weekend (Monday is the holiday).
Has anyone been to Montreal in the fall that could give me some recommendations on what to do that is fairly budget friendly? Also how do you think the holiday weekend will affect us?
TIA

Re: Montreal in October
bump!
I'm hoping someone can help. Maybe just a suggestion of some sights to see or restaurants to eat at.

Re: Montreal in October
I went to Montreal in Setember a few years ago. Pefect weather ... short sleeves and jeans in the day.
There is a lot of see --- walk down Rue St Catherine Street and visit all the shops. Go to the Science Museum on the Pier The Botanical Gardens Olympic Mountain Walk around Old Montreal and see Notre Dame and the Basilica
Great breakfast place called Eggspectacular (there are a few locations)
Best steakhouse on the eastcoast - expensive, but what a great meal. Que De Cheval http://www.queuedecheval.com/
