How much would a headhunter cost?
And if you used one was it worth it? Staying in my field is just not possible, so I am lost as to how to present my resume. I can't handle being told 'we don't need a weather girl' again. As if presenting the weather is all I can do. I don't want to be a 'weather girl'!!! I just want a freaking job near my house with normal hours!!!!!! My degree included many computer and math courses, but nobody seems to look past what my degree is in.
Also, are there temp agencies on Long Island? (I'm not from here and I am so lost)

ITA. My company always pays for the headhunters, not the employees/prospects.

Re: How much would a headhunter cost?
I have used various head hunters and they get paid by the employer not the person seeking the job. That's why I love HH's bc they do everything to prepare you for the interviews since they only make commission if you get hired. Normally their commission is based on a percentage of your salary.

same - just remember they work for the company and look out for their best interest more than yours, even though they don't get paid until they place. At least that is my experience...

Kelly don't pay for ANY headhunter who wants to charge you and not the company.

Also, you may want to consider re-vamping your resume to focus more on skills than job titles.
