First year teacher here...and (knock on wood), I am definitely NOT experiencing all of the horrors people warned me about!

I can't find my groove yet- new grade level will do that So far my kids are great and I have a DREAM schedule, but still feel a little overwhelmed with planning.

first year teacher.. .. it's not bad so far. I find I really get into the groove by Thursday and Friday. I get out of the routine really quickly so by the time Monday rolls around after the weekend, it's SOOOOO hard for me to go back to the daily grind

Love my kids, but my schedule bites! 
Per 1 - 7th grade French
Per 2 - prep
Per 3 - 7th grade Spanish
Per 4 - Lunch
Per 5 - 7th grade Lunch Duty
Per 6 - 7th grade French
Per 7 - prep
Per 8 - 7th grade French
Per 9 - 8th grade French
I hate that I'm very afternoon-heavy. At noon, I've only seen 2 classes.

the usual ups and downs, but i see things beginning to start to fall into place and routine.
Its my second Year, but i didn't make it to October in my first year with my own class so its great to experience this the second time around.
I was also told that since imma be out next week they arent going to bother getting a sub, cuz a sub wouldnt be able to handle my kids, but I can I must be doing things right this time

Really great! much better than this time last year when I had my sophomore slump/post wedding blues. Now I'm really enjoying myself.
Plus....I got a SmartBoard this year! WOOHOO!

as for a first year teacher its going swell. i haven't expereinced any negativity like some teachers have told me.. but its still only the beginning...
