New Member to this board
Never wanted to be on here but now I am. My father died last Thursday, 9/25 after what seems like a very short battle with cancer. It has been a week and I feel like I can finally talk about it. I did get to see him in the hospital before he died (the hospital told us it might be a few weeks but he only lasted 5 days there.
I struggle with a mix of guilt because I am happy he is no longer suffering and terrible sadness that he is gone. My dd is only 4 and she said that she dreamt "tito" was all better and he was happy. This was about 3 days after he passed. I wonder if its possible she really saw him. But I believe she did and he is in a better place.

I am so sorry for your loss. My Dad passed a way suddenly alomost 7 months ago. So I can understand what you are going through. My Dad was very close to my three nephews who are 6 and twin 5 year olds. It broke my heart when they would ask questions and try to understand what happened.

I'm so sorry for your loss...don't doubt that your daughter saw him, children have a much easier time seeing things like that.

So Sorry for your loss. I know exactly what you are going through as I lost my dad a year ago only 6 weeks after being diagnosed with cancer. It is still surreal that this terrible thing happened to my family. One day he wasn't feeling well, and the next thing we hear is stage iv bladder cancer. They told him 18 months to live, then he died 6 weeks later.
My son is still waiting for him to come back and doesn't understand that he can't come back. Its heartbreaking and raw and so unfair.
Hang in there as there will come a day where the thoughts of your dads death do not permeate every aspect of your life. It will get easier.

It is very hard for me still but I am taking every day one day at a time..
