Re: New here!!

Spark people or calorie king is a good place to start.

Start keeping a diary of what you eat everyday. Trust me it is really helpful. You will feel more energetic when you eat better foods.

What kind of snacks do you eat? I like my sweet treat once in a while, but during the day I snack on fruit. Don't deny yourself everything, though. Have a treat once in a while, just don't overdo it.

Ok, so you don't use your gym membership. Fair enough. Maybe start walking every day after dinner or in the morning. Again don't push yourself too much in the beginning, do it gradually.

You can't do drastic changes, you want something you will live with. It is a lifestyle change.

Re: New here!!

Honestly, it's all a matter of getting started. You will actually feel less sluggish and less hungry once you start working out. You're body will start craving healthier foods to refuel rather than just junk that tastes good.

Get to the gym and get a routine - once your into it, it will be so much easier. Is it possible to work with a trainer for just a few sessions to get started? That way you will have to go, no excuses. Or try taking classes.

Good luck!

These are all great suggestions. It is so easy to talk ourselves OUT of something - much easier then talking ourselves into it. I agree, gradual changes will help you develop a routine. You can do it - good luck!!! Chat Icon
