HR ladies I need some advise please
Hi! This is my first post over here. Im on LIW but need some career help so here I am.
Heres my question: What is the right way to go about giving your 2 week notice? Should I do it tomorrow (fri) or just wait until Monday? I've never had to do this before so I want to do it right!

I dont think theres really a difference mon or fri.. most likely your last day at the end of 2 weeks will be a friday right? No sense starting a week off with it being your last day like a monday.
The fact your giving them 2 weeks your doing the right thing.. telling them on a certain day dont think that matters. Hope all goes well!!!
eta: just realized you were asking HR ladies.. im not an HR lady.. just a reg. employee at a job.. so you may just want to omit my opinion.

I am not an HR person either but ITA with what this PP is saying. I too don't think the day matters when you give your notice. Some people find it easier to do it on a Fri or Mon but in all honesty at my last job I gave my notice on a Wed and stayed 2 weeks ending on a Fri. You can just give them a date if that is better for you too. Good luck and let us know how it went.

I would tell them on Friday just so you can have a better weekend.  I don't know about you, but I would be a little anxious about having the conversation and it would be a relief to have to it over with.
I am sure your company would appreciate you telling them sooner then later just so they can get started looking for a replacement but I don't think one day will make a difference.

Thanks for the advice! I'm going to do it this morning. I am soooooooo nervous, but I know it has to be done so I just have to s uck it up and be a grown up lol
